Not much going on. I started my job on Tuesday. It is in the Issue department so when new groups get approved they are brought over to us and we have to input all the information on the computer and make up contracts and booklets...etc. It's a lot to learn but I think I'm catching on.

It is really nice outside today, 19 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze. We are suppose to get a nasty thunder storm tonight though and rain all weekend so I will enjoy it now. I am not looking forward to the humidity but I know it is right around the corner.

Well, I have officially finished school. I handed in my last paper today and I start my new job tomorrow. I am not too nervous about tomorrow, I think because I have worked for the company before and I know all the people I fell like I know what I am getting myself into.

Not much else is going on I will update tomorrow about my new job.

We went to see Joel Plaskett on Thursday night. That man sure can rock! Every time I see him play live I like him more and more. I got a t-shirt, it is brown and says "another life changed by Joel Plaskett."
Not much else is going on, I have a paper I have to finish tomorrow and email to my teacher and then I start my new job on Tuesday. I have one more shift at Canadian Tire, I won't be sad to see that over.

The weather here hasn't been the greatest. We will have one really nice day and then rain and cold. It is suppose to rain all week :(

Okay we watched two movies this weekend so I have two to review. We watched Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and Somethings gotta give
I think with Tad Hamilton we were too old and with Somethings Gotta Give we were too young. Tad Hamilton was about a girl in a small town who manages to meet and start dating a movie star. We are suppose to feel bad for the guy left at home (Eric from That 70s Show) because he is in love with the girl but you can't really feel bad because he never told the girl so she has no idea and seems quite happy with the movie star. It was okay but seemed a little long.

Something Gotta Give just seemed a little too old for me. I could see what the jokes were suppose to be and that they were suppose to be funny but I just haven't reached the point in my life yet where I find them funny. Jack Nicholson is annoying but Keanu Reeves makes up for it. He just wasn't on screen enough. Anyway, the movie wasn't that bad but maybe I will watch it in 20 years and see if I like it more.

I give both Something and Tad Hamilton a 3.

Not too much has been going on with me. Lots of studying and paper writing but that will soon be over. I have a test tomorrow and then a take home test that has to be handed in by Tuesday. I will hand mine in Monday since I start my new job on Tuesday. I'm kind of nervous about the job because it is in a different department and I don't know the ladies there as well. Oh well, I'm friendly right :)

Movie Review time - Cheaper by the Dozen, or as I like to call it Crappier by the Dozen. The main reason I made Joey rent this movie was because Tom Welling was in it and he is super cute :) The movie is about parents (Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt) who have 12 kids. They have to move from their small town because the father is offered his dream job. Once they get there the mom gets her book published and must go to New York for awhile. We are then suppose to believe that Steve Martin (even though he has 12 kids) doesn't seem to know how to take care of them. I got so frustrated watching this movie and I'm not even a parent. If you are don't watch it, you will throw things at the TV, and that might break it :) I give Cheaper by the Dozen a 2. The only thing saving it is Tom Welling, still super cute.

Oh I forgot to do my movie review. We watched Spellbound on Saturday night, it's a documentary about eight children who are in the National Spelling Bee in Washington. It was funny, one of the kids (Harry) was hilarious and I want to take him home. It was kind of fun to watch how serious these children (and their parents) take the spelling bee, it was insane. So on my rating scale of 1 being Mr. Wrong and 5 being That Thing You Do I give Spellbound a 4.

Okay so it's been awhile since I wrote something so here goes.

We had a good weekend with San. I always enjoy having another girl around, the more estrogen the better. :) We rented a car and went all kinds of places in it. Showed San areas of Kingston she hadn't seen before. It will be nice having her here all summer I won't feel like I'm the only one stuck in stupid humid Ontario.

School is starting to come to an end. I have two test left and I have to present my ad campaign in advertising class. I am excited about that one because I think we have a good idea. It is a little complicated to explain so I will tell everyone when I talk to them.

I am going through the career dilemma in my head about a job I was offered at Empire Financial. It's a summer job and I am trying to decide if I want to take it or just continue working at Canadian Tire while I look for a job in marketing. I still don't know what I am going to decide and I call the lady back tomorrow.

Not much else going on. Joey has an exam on Friday and I have my tests to study for so I see a lot of reading in our future. Not like that is a problem for Joey, he is the only person I know who can devour books faster then Mom :)

That's it for now.

Not much going on today. It is still a little cold but the sun is shining and that is always nice. I am still working on a big project I have due on Thursday. It is an advertising project for Labatt Blue, I wish I drank beer it might be easier to figure some of this stuff out.

I am getting really excited about San coming this weekend. She hasn't been here in awhile and I like having another girl in the house. Plus having three people here and San agreeing to play a board game will force Joey to play even though he doesn't like to :)

I have decided that I will start to write movie reviews in here as well. So I will start with the last movie Joey and I saw in the theatre Jersey Girl.

It is a film by Kevin Smith starring Ben Affleck, George Carlin and Liv Tyler. It was a very cute movie and very different from Kevin Smith's other movies. I enjoyed it but cried a lot, not that unusual for me but the first 25 minutes of this movie had me in tears. Okay it was in all the papers so I guess I am not ruining it Ben's wife in the movie (Jennifer Lopez) dies during childbirth so the whole time after she died I was picturing if the same thing happened to Joey and what he would do and that just got me started and I didn't stop until the kid was 7.

The rest of the movie is about Ben raising his daughter and the relationship they form. It was a nice feel good movie (aside from the start) and I enjoyed it. On my rating scale 1 being Mr. Wrong, 5 being That Thing you Do I give Jersey Girl 4.

Well, today marks the 10th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death. I can remember when I found out like it was yesterday. It was the first famous persons death that really effected me. It also makes me feel really old, 10 YEARS man time sure does fly.

It is really cold in Kingston today. I didn't want to but I had to get my winter coat back out, this morning with the wind chill it was -15 :(

Not much else going on, I have a ton of work to do this week but then it is Easter weekend and all is good. I don't work again until the 16th so I have a nice little no Canadian Tire break.

Sunday, April 04, 2004

It is really cold today. There are flurries in the air and everything :(

On a fun note we remembered to set our clocks ahead last night which is good since I worked at 10 this morning. However, my store manager did not remember and arrived at the store to let us in at 9:50. That was kind of fun.

Not much going on this weekend. We ate a Royal Angkor last night, It was yummy. They are closed next weekend but will be able to go Friday night so San can get her fix.

We are hoping that the NFL will release the schedule for the fall next week so we can see about going to a game this fall. It's sad that I am thinking about football already and the season doesn't even start until September.

Rain Rain go away. It is raining in Kingston today, and is supposed to rain for the next few days. :(

Stopped in at work on my way home from school today. They are putting in new cash booths for us. There is a lot of banging and hammering so my shift tomorrow night should be just peachy.

Today is Irene's birthday. Happy Birthday Irene! :)

I finished doing my TA work for my sales teacher today. I will now have an extra three hours to myself during the week. I have a presentation and a paper next week so I should have a pretty full weekend but I will still try and update everyone here.

Have a good day.
