I love CuteTax

CuteTax is the online program that Joe and I use to fill out our taxes. There is no simpler way (that I know of) to file your taxes. You fill in a few boxes and then $17 later you have completed taxes. You can print out a PDF file of the tax return that looks exactly like the regular form but they also give you the file so everything can be NetFiled. So simple, it actually makes me enjoy tax time.

Well now didn't that sound like an ad for CuteTax, I swear I make no money from them ;)

Not much else going on, it was officially Spring about 10 minutes ago. I can hear the wind whipping by my window and I can see little flurries out the window. sigh.

Mom and Dad took myself, Joe and San out for lunch yesterday. We went to a Chinese place on Quinpool. The food was good, and cheap but the best part was the fortune cookies. They were all pretty standard, okay Joe's was weird something about the best presents are in invisible boxes. The best of all was San's though. You can figure out what was meant by the saying but it comes across a little mean, and quite funny.

I am such a bad blogger. I will blame it on the fact that the main reason I started this was for our families to know what was going on with us in Kingston. Now that we are home they know what is going on, which isn't much.

We have been keeping busy with work and the gym. I also have been taking voice lessons. Mom and Dad got me 4 lessons for Christmas and when those were up I bought 12 more. I really enjoy them, my teacher is the best. She is about my age and has a fantastic voice. She keeps me laughing while we sing so that is fun. It is weird to have a lesson where someone is listening to your voice only, she never says anything bad but if she says "let's try that part again" I know I screwed up somewhere. I have been working on "My Funny Valentine", "On My Own" from Les Mis and we are going to start "Zombie" by the Cranberries next week.

Lets see, what else... I go away at the end of the month on my first "overnight" work trip. It's only for staff meetings but they are taking us down to Oak Island Inn for two days as a kind of "retreat" I'm looking forward to it, it will be the first time I have been in a hotel room by myself.

Speaking of work... my term for my current job is up at the end of this month. That job is turning into a permanent one but that means I have to apply for it and go though an interview process. They will extend me in the position until that is all done since it could take well into April. Hopefully that will work out but if not the position I am currently "filling in for" is going to be posted soon so I will probably apply for that one as well. Yeah, interviews my favourite.

No word on the Postdoc front for Joe yet, he has applied for a new bunch recently though so will let you know if we hear anything.
