Oh and Ken won again. 19 in a row, can't wait to see how he does tonight.

We stayed up last night to watch the election coverage. I just couldn't go to sleep thinking that Steven Harper was leading the country so I had to wait until I knew it was safe.

The coverage on CBC was actually pretty entertaining. It started off with a song by the "black out" explaining that BC voters could now see what was going on. It was so funny. I also enjoyed Rick Mercers stuff.

The best part of the night were the results from Newfoundland. In the riding of Bonavista-Exploits my favorite weatherman Scott Simms won. I used to watch him all the time on The Weather Network and was upset when he left. Now I know why, I was excited to see him win last night.

Our riding was pretty normal, the liberal incumbent who has served 4 terms in a row won again. However, Rosie the Clown managed almost 200 votes.

The worst part of the whole election was actually voting. They sent my voter card to Nova Scotia despite the fact that I have voted in both a provincial and federal election here. Not to mention Joe managed to get his here. Anyway, I went to the polling station having talked to Elections Canada and knew exactly what I needed to do. Then I got to the lady at the registration desk, seriously to they line the people up by age and put the 125 year old lady at the busiest area. Anyway after about 15 minutes, some paper work and a few trips to the ballot box I finally got my vote in.

Ours is all over for now, what will the Americans do in November is the next question???

Okay so I have been watching this guy on Jeopardy, Ken. He is a 18 day champion and has one over $600,000 so far. He usually wins by a large amount and it is so fun to watch him answer all the questions and kick the other peoples butts. I know since I am writing this on here he will probably lose on Monday night but it has been a good run and caused me to watch Jeopardy again. I started watching him on Day 4 so I feel I know him.

Anyway, we went to a movie yesterday Dodgeball. It was pretty funny, I laughed a lot. We also bought our tickets for our Canada Day double feature. We are going to walk out to the movie theatre and then watch Fahrenheit 9/11 and then Spider-Man 2. Should be a fun time.

Last night we had dinner out with friends and then went to the Kaoroke bar. It was pretty fun, Joe and I did an great duet of Build Me Up Buttercup.

The sun is shining today and we are suppose to get rain for the next few days but the humidity is holding off so we are having a great summer so far.

We are thinking of doing something fun for our anniversary this year, like a trip. I am looking at Ottawa and Montreal right now but we will see what comes of that.

Ta for now.

I really need to post in here more often. I will try that, it will be my Canada Day resolution. I guess it would be easier to write if exciting things happened more often. I will start making them up if I have too.

Okay exciting stuff happened this weekend, my mommy and sister came to see me graduate. I finally graduated from St. Lawrence. The ceremony was kind of dull but I think they all are.
Here is a picture from the day.

We had fun on the weekend, went shopping, watched Harry Potter again, talked. The weather was nice, not too hot and humid. Today is great it is like a summer day in Nova Scotia. A girl could get spoiled by this.

We have a wedding shower for one of my co workers this week but other then that a pretty normal week.

Hope everyone is good.

I have one thing to say.

Neighbour, bagpipes, 8am

It's back... the humidity I mean. Well I knew it was coming but I hoped it would hold off. The heat and humidity started Monday but reached a climax today with a massive thunder storm. Usually those help lift the heat but not today. Joe took at picture of the thermometer inside our apartment at 5:00pm today.

It is only down to about 24 right now. So it's going to be that kind of summer. The only good thing about a good storm is the sky after. Check out this picture my little photographer husband took.

Hope everyone else is cooler where they are (Sorry San)

Later,
Tricia

Went to see Harry Potter yesterday. It was pretty good. They cut out a lot of stuff that I thought was important but then again I'm not a Hollywood director...yet

Anyway, we walked out last week as well and took our camera. Joey is going to show me how to post pictures on here so I am going to post one from our walk. It is of little baby geese that were in the marsh just off the tracks.

Yeah it worked. Now I can post pictures in here too.

Hello again,
I changed the template of my page so it looks a little different but I thought the circles were a nice new touch.

I had a meet and greet after work today. A bunch of us from employee benefits went down to a bar by head office and we ate, drank and played games. You were suppose to dress up in a summer theme but only myself and my co worker Lillian dressed up so we both won prizes. She won a big pail of dacari mix and I won a margarita set (glasses, pitcher). It was fun, I made sure I introduced myself to the marketing people and I think I might go in the Empire golf tournament to do the same thing.

We are going to see the new Harry Potter movie tomorrow. I am pretty excited about that. Book 3 was my favourite so I have been looking forward to this for awhile.

The weather is starting to warm up here. Nice and sunny with still a cool breeze and no humidity yet (crossing my fingers) so hopefully the rest of June will stay that way. Mom says the weather in Nova Scotia is still pretty cool so I guess the whole country is having problems.

Speaking of the country having problems... the election is coming up :)
Joey and I have no idea who we are going to vote for, we are both undecided at the moment. We are hoping that we can get some people at our door so we can ask them some questions. Unfortunately our Liberal MP is Peter Milliken, the speaker of the House so he has a pretty good chance of being re-elected. My problem is if he is so busy being the speaker of the house who the hell is looking out for Kingston? Oh well I have a few more weeks to decide.

Have a great weekend.
